Zapnews: Significant Restyling Announced by Zap

Zap Africa Rebrands, Unveils Enhanced Zap Exchange

Zap Africa, a Nigerian startup focusing on non-custodial crypto infrastructure, has undergone a significant transformation. The company has rebranded, introducing a refreshed logo and a significant upgrade to its flagship product, Zap Exchange [1][4].

The updated Zap Exchange offers an enhanced user experience, with faster transaction speeds, a stronger security architecture, and a redesigned interface that caters to mobile-first trading needs, especially for Nigerian users [1][3]. The new interface is cleaner, quicker, and more intuitive, providing users with a "control room" feel.

The rebrand reflects Zap's mission to give users more control, trust, and autonomy over their crypto assets while emphasizing clarity, speed, and user control in the platform [1][4]. Key new features include saved wallet addresses, token-specific trade histories, real-time price alerts, and customizable watchlists.

The rebrand was not triggered by any trademark disputes, although it somewhat overlapped with a naming issue involving fintech giant Paystack. In fact, the rebrand was already in motion, as part of Zap's product roadmap [3][5].

Tobi Asu-Johnson, Co-founder of Zap, stated that the old design no longer reflected who they were, and a new design was needed for Zap version 2 and expansion plans [6]. The Co-founder and CTO of Zap, Moore Dagogo-Hart, stated that the rebrand is designed to give users more control, with faster transactions, easier access to their data, and a beautiful interface [2].

The revamped product introduces a faster, more innovative, and intuitive user experience. It now facilitates faster logins and focuses on a less technical, more user-friendly design to support on-the-go trading needs [1][3]. The platform has evolved from a simple crypto wallet into a comprehensive financial command center aimed at strengthening financial autonomy for African users [4].

In line with the revamp, Zap Africa is integrating advanced technology into the redesigned Zap Exchange, aiming to enhance business operations by offering a more secure, efficient, and user-friendly experience. This strategic move in the realm of finance reflects Zap's commitment to empowering African users with better control over their digital assets.
