Yüksel Construction Wins $100M in Hydro Power Plant Contracts

Yüksel Construction Inc., Turkey's leading hydropower equipment provider, has secured three major contracts for hydro power plant projects: Alpaslan II, Upper Kaleköy, and Tepekla. The total value of these contracts is around 100 million and is expected to significantly contribute to Turkish renewable energy production.

The projects, booked during the first half of fiscal year 2013/2014, will generate approximately 242,000 GWh/year in total. Yüksel Construction will supply and install turbines, generators, and control systems for Alpaslan II (292 MW), while for Upper Kaleköy (636 MW), the company will provide a turbine, generator, and the full electrical balance of plant. For Tepekla (72 MW), Yüksel Construction will supply turbines, generators, and ecological generating sets. The company's Turkey Country President, Adil Tekin, attributed these contracts to the trust of major energy players in Yüksel Construction's knowledge, experience, and work quality. Yüksel Construction, established in the 1950s, supplies more than 50% of Turkey's hydro generator market and has been contributing to the energy infrastructure ever since.

With these three projects, Yüksel Construction continues to strengthen its position as a leading player in Turkey's renewable energy sector. The company's expertise and reliability have once again been recognized by major energy players, leading to significant contracts that will boost the country's hydroelectric power generation.
