Wisycom Debuts Two Fresh Offerings at IBC 2025 Exhibition
Wisycom Unveils MTP61 XL and Portable RF-over-Fiber Box at IBC 2025
In a significant move for the wireless audio industry, Wisycom has announced two new solutions at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam on September 17, 2025. The event took place at Stand 8.D30. The new offerings, the Portable RF-over-Fiber Box and the MTP61 XL, are set to revolutionise the way we approach wireless audio transmission and location sound recording.
The MTP61 XL, an updated version of Wisycom's miniature multiband bodypack transmitter, boasts an extended battery life, making it a game-changer for talent-heavy productions such as reality TV, theatre, and location sound. The MTP61 XL offers double the battery life compared to the original MTP61, providing over 19 hours of battery life at 10 mW, 16 hours at 50 mW, and nearly 15 hours at 100 mW with recording enabled.
Existing MTP61 users can also upgrade to XL performance by simply replacing the battery lid and using the new XL battery, extending the life and value of their current equipment. The MTP61 XL retains Wisycom's widest tuning range and advanced linear technology for intermodulation-free frequency planning, ensuring unparalleled performance.
The Portable RF-over-Fiber Box, on the other hand, is a compact, field-ready solution for transporting RF signals where coaxial cable is impractical or would introduce excessive signal loss. This innovative device operates over single-mode fiber to deliver pristine signal integrity across extended runs with minimal degradation. It also operates on both battery and mains, making it ideal for remote or mobile deployments.
The Portable RF-over-Fiber Box's temperature-controlled fan and rugged construction provide dependable operation under harsh environmental conditions. It also features a wide dynamic range and low-noise design for clear, interference-free performance even in congested RF environments.
Commenting on these innovations, Davide Morsiani, CEO of Wisycom, stated that these solutions showcase Wisycom's commitment to solving real-world production challenges. He further added that these new products are designed to make wireless audio transmission more efficient and reliable, thereby enhancing the overall production quality.
The Portable RF-over-Fiber Box will be available early Q4 via Wisycom's distributor network, with HUBER+SUHNER being the distribution partner through which it will be made available in the fourth quarter of 2025. The MTP61 XL, meanwhile, is currently available for purchase.
The MTP61 XL's rugged, splash-resistant housing, proprietary waterproof magnetic connector, and Bluetooth monitoring/control via Wisycom Manager or mobile apps provide unmatched flexibility in the field.
