Windows 11 25H2 Now Available: Extended Support & Improved Security
Microsoft has rolled out Windows 11 25H2 (Build 26200.6584) for users. This update is available through various channels, including the Media Creation Tool, Windows Update, Windows Autopatch, and Microsoft 365. It's also accessible via Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) since October 14, 2025.
Users running Windows 11 23H2 Home and Pro must upgrade to this new version as their support has ended. By switching to Windows 11 25H2, they extend their support until September 30, 2025, gaining an additional two years. Enterprise and Education users get an extra year, with support lasting until September 30, 2026.
The 25H2 version focuses on security enhancements, featuring advanced build and runtime vulnerability detection, along with AI-assisted secure coding. Businesses can deploy this update using WSUS starting October 14, 2025. While no new features are available at launch, users can expect new additions in October's Patch Day, as Microsoft continues its wave-based update strategy.
