Weekly Funding Report for Top Startups in Latin America - Week 32, 2025 (Infographic)

In the realm of Brazilian startups, this week has seen a significant surge in funding across various sectors, with fintech leading the charge.

Fintech

The fintech sector has attracted a substantial portion of the investment, with several startups securing impressive funding rounds. Stone, a fintech focused on expanding credit services for small businesses in the Brazilian Amazon, raised $50 million from IDB Invest [2]. BlindPay, a startup developing a stablecoin-powered global payments API, secured $3.3 million [1].

IORQ, an AI-powered credit infrastructure platform, raised $6.44 million from Monashees, Upload Ventures, ONE.VC, and Norte Ventures [2][3]. Frente, a startup scaling cross-border Pix payment services, closed a Series A round of $5.5 million led by Magma Partners [2]. Lastly, NG.CASH, a Gen Z-focused digital challenger bank, raised $26.5 million in a Series B round [4].

Climate, Sports, and Legal Tech

While fintech has been the most active sector in terms of funding, the climate, sports, and legal tech sectors have also seen some investment. Radix Florestal, a climate tech startup, received $1.85 million from Ecosia [6]. Liquid, an AI credit decision platform focused on housing finance, closed a $2.2 million round [1], and Pipeimob, a proptech integrating fintech components, raised $2.8 million [5].

However, recent funding rounds for climate, sports, and legal tech startups have been less visible in the public domain.

Notable Startups

In the climate sector, Radix Florestal aims to plant 2,000 hectares in the Amazon by 2030, having already restored 150 hectares [6]. The startup uses drone and satellite technology for monitoring its reforestation efforts.

Stone, directed by Patrick Sigrist, the founder of iFood, has $461.5 million (R$2.5 billion) in assets under management [7]. IORQ offers embedded finance tools through a white-label model, helping companies originate and manage credit via APIs.

Leggal, a legal services startup, aims to normalise legal care in Brazil's benefits space and expand preventive legal access to broader social classes, with over 30,000 users [8]. FanBase, a sports digital infrastructure startup, offers products like Fan ID and FanApp to help teams manage fan engagement, serving clients such as Vasco, Bahia, and Atlético Nacional (Colombia) [9].

This week's funding rounds underscore the vibrant startup ecosystem in Brazil, with fintech leading the charge in terms of investment. Despite the predominant activity in fintech, the climate, sports, and legal tech sectors also saw some investment, indicating a promising future for these sectors as well.
