Website Expert in WordPress Development

Key Responsibilities
As a WordPress Website Developer, your main responsibilities will include building and customizing WordPress sites, developing custom themes, creating plugins, ensuring mobile responsiveness and accessibility compliance, collaborating with teams, and maintaining and updating site components.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Strong proficiency in core web technologies, including PHP, HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (vanilla, jQuery), and working knowledge of MySQL databases.
- Experience with WooCommerce and building/customizing eCommerce websites is highly valued.
- Familiarity with custom fields and page builders, such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), version control using Git, and build or package tools like Gulp, npm, and Composer.
- The ability to convert designs (Figma, PSD) into pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible WordPress sites, with a good eye for design and UX principles.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, security audits, HTTPS setup, caching, and malware protection is important.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, including REST or GraphQL APIs, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue) for decoupled or headless WordPress architecture can command premium roles.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile responsiveness is essential.
- Soft skills such as time management, ability to work independently, openness to feedback, and proficiency in written English are also required.
- Staying current with the latest WordPress updates, web development trends, accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA compliance), and best practices through continuing education and professional engagement is expected.
Additional Skills
It's nice to have skills in other areas such as graphic design, UX/UI design, and SEO. Experience with Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap is needed. Understanding of MVC, OOP, and modular architecture is also required.
Working Hours and Location
The working hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Pacific Time) or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (VN Time), Monday to Friday. The job can be performed onsite or remotely.
