Voltage Energy Launches Lynx & Ibex Plus: Game-Changing Pre-Assembled Wiring for PV Projects
Voltage Energy, a Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based electrical balance of systems (EBOS) provider, has introduced two innovative pre-assembled wiring solutions for PV projects. The new products, Lynx and Disney Plus, are designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and durability in solar power transmission.
The Lynx product is engineered for utility-scale projects and high-power string applications. It offers a significant 34% reduction in voltage drop compared to 500 MCM designs, making it ideal for projects with stringent voltage drop requirements of less than 1.5%. With a trunk capacity of up to 1250 MCM / 791 A and supporting branch cables of up to 4 AWG, Lynx ensures reliable power transmission even in demanding conditions.
The Disney Plus, on the other hand, caters to the mid-capacity range of 70-168 A. It bridges the gap between standard harnesses and trunk bus systems, providing a flexible solution for various project needs. The 97% flexible aluminum structure of Disney Plus improves its long-term reliability and simplifies installation. Both products are factory-assembled and IP68-tested, minimizing field terminations and human error, and are compliant with international standards including UL9703.
