Steam, the popular PC gaming storefront that has held the top spot since its inception in 2003, has announced an extensive schedule of sales events from August 2025 to Summer 2026. The schedule includes both themed, genre-specific sales, such as the 4X Fest and Animal Fest, and the highly anticipated seasonal sales like the Autumn, Winter, and Spring Sales.

The sales schedule kicks off in August with the 4X Fest (August 11 – 18) and the Third Person Shooter (TPS) Fest (August 25 – September 1). Notably, Reinforcements from the Xbox version of "Helldivers 2" are expected to be available at the same time as the TPS Fest, offering PC gamers a chance to enjoy the game at significant discounts.

In September, the Political Sim Fest takes place (Sept 8 – 15), followed by the Steam Autumn Sale (Sept 29 – Oct 6). October brings the Steam Next Fest (Oct 13 – 20), Steam Scream 4 (Oct 27 – Nov 3), and Animal Fest (Nov 10 – 17).

December sees the Sports Fest (Dec 8 – 15) and the Steam Winter Sale (Dec 18 – Jan 5, 2026), a time when many PC gamers eagerly await the major discounts. The Winter Sale is followed by the Detective Fest (Jan 12 – 19) and Board Game Fest (Jan 26 – Feb 2).

February hosts several events, including the Typing Fest (Spotlight, Feb 5 – 9), PvP Fest (Feb 9 – 16), and the Horse Fest (Spotlight, Feb 19 – 23). Valve is also planning to try "Spotlight Fests" in 2026, focusing on niche themes like typing, hidden objects, and horses.

March brings the Tower Defense Fest (Mar 9 – 16) and the Steam Spring Sale (Mar 19 – 26), a time for gamers to refresh their libraries with discounted games. The month concludes with the House & Home Fest (Mar 30 – Apr 6).

April will see the Hidden Object Fest (Spotlight, Apr 9 – 13) and the Medieval Fest (Apr 20 – 27). Notable games expected to have big discounts during the Medieval Fest include "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2", Chivalry 2, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, and "Manor Lords".

Valve has also provided a Steamworks page for developers to register their games for upcoming sales events. The schedule for the remaining Steam sales in the latter half of 2026 will be revealed "in the coming months."
