Unveiled at Unbound: The Innovative New Specialized Diverge Model

Unleashing the New:

The gravel trails of Unbound Gravel are known to be a stealthy battleground for upcoming product launches. And this year, Specialized isn't hiding its latest offering - a revamped Diverge.

Glossy in a vibrant red and yellow hue, this new model seems primed for action, with pro-riders like Lael Wilcox, Geerike Schreurs, and Ian Boswell test-riding it around Emporia.

Under an official embargo, the riders kept their cards close to their chest about the new Diverge, but our insiders whisper that it's more agile and zippy - qualities that any racer would appreciate as they gear up for the world's toughest gravel race.

First impressions can be deceptive, but a closer look reveals some clear changes:

  1. UDH Compatibility: Integrated SRAM Universal Derailleur Hangers (UDH) mean that this bike is ready to roll with SRAM's newest off-road groupsets, ensuring compatibility with future drivetrains.
  2. Enhanced Tyre Clearance: The bike seems to accommodate larger tyres, possibly up to 2.2', a significant improvement over the previous model's 47mm limit.
  3. Fork Mounts: The fork now boasts three mounting points, providing flexibility for additional carrying options.

A one-piece cockpit and an aero-profile handlebar hint at performance-focused features. Internal routing keeps cable maintenance hassle-free, while the bike retains a traditional external seatpost clamp for dropper post compatibility, if needed.

As for the hover bar and Future Shock suspension, it remains to be seen whether they will be standard equipment on the commercial version of the bike. Stay tuned for more updates as we dig deeper into Specialized's secret testing ground!
