Ukraine Scores Major Win With Innovative Drone Tactic Against Russia
Ukrainian forces have scored a significant victory using an innovative drone tactic. An FPV drone, provided by the Lasar group, exploited Russia's Buk air defense system, causing substantial damage to enemy forces.
The operation began with the Ukrainian resistance group ATESH supplying coordinates of a deployed Buk air defense system to Ukrainian forces. Initially, Russian troops failed to recognize the threat, interacting with the drone before it was mistaken for a harmless object.
The drone, however, was no ordinary craft. It was equipped with a self-destruct mechanism and was guided towards the enemy launcher. After riding on a Buk-series loader for about 15 kilometers, the drone detonated, triggering the destruction of the hostile air defense equipment. The explosion heavily damaged or destroyed at least one Russian vehicle.
While there's no evidence of a specific individual from the Lasar group sending the drone, the Ukrainian ATESH group's role in providing coordinates is clear. This creative use of technology has resulted in a significant setback for Russian forces, highlighting the adaptability and ingenuity of Ukrainian resistance groups.
