Title: NYT Mini Crossword Puzzles Solutions for Sunday, January 12

Missed out on Saturday's NYT Mini crossword session? No worries, here's your chance to catch up:

The NYT Mini is a bite-sized version of the famous New York Times crossword, offering a quick mental workout. It's available for free every day on the New York Times website or on the NYT Games app. The weekday and Saturday puzzles are typically released at 10 PM EST the day prior, while Sunday puzzles drop at 6 PM EST on Saturday.

Unfortunately, accessing past puzzles requires a subscription to the NYT Games section. But don't despair! With enough practice, you can beat the daily challenge in record time. I usually manage to complete the weekday grids within a minute, save for a few tricky clues.

If you're having trouble with a certain clue, don't shy away from revealing the answer for learning purposes. Here are the clues and their corresponding answers from the most recent Mini:

NYT Mini Crossword Answers (Spoilers Alert!)

ACROSS

1) A box office disappointment in 2019 that Variety reviewed as "Nine may not be enough lives for some of the stars to live down their involvement in this ..." - CATS

5) The warm and friendly greeting used in Hawaii - ALOHA

7) A medical treatment used for smoothing wrinkles - BOTOX

8) A state of entanglement or troublesome conflict - SNARL

Title: Unleashing the Power of Mini4: A Comprehensive Overview

9) A state of pure joy or delight - GLEE

DOWN

1) These transportation vehicles are notoriously difficult to hail in wet weather - CABS

2) This eight-line poem by Lewis Carroll begins "Speak to me in prose / There is no use for verse / {...} ..." - ALONG

3) The aggregate amount of something - TOTAL

4) A place where you might enjoy beachcombing - SHORE

6) This piece of machinery is often described as a rod with wheels - AXLE

This kind of day called for a speed run. I managed to complete it in about a minute or so, and the only challenging clue was "Snarl" - I couldn't help but feel that "Snag" would have been a more appropriate answer. Botox was a breeze in 2025, but I'm not so sure Ozempic would fit quite as well in this Mini format.

For those interested in the world of crossword puzzles, I invite you to follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. You might also enjoy my sci-fi novel series, the Herokiller series and the Earthborn Trilogy. Happy puzzling!

If you missed the solution for 'Snarl' in yesterday's NYT Mini Answers, it was 'entanglement or troublesome conflict'.
