Tesla Introduces Live Activity for Mobile Service Visits
Tesla owners can now keep track of their mobile service visits with ease on their iOS devices. The company has introduced Live Activity updates that provide real-time information on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island.
The new feature allows owners to monitor their technician's estimated time of arrival, progress while en route, and confirmation of service completion. This is an expansion of Tesla's initial Live Activity implementation earlier this year, which focused on Supercharging progress.
Currently, the Service Live Activity is limited to mobile technician visits, rather than longer service center appointments. However, Tesla has hinted at potential future Live Activities, such as Roadside Assistance and cabin preconditioning updates. Once widely available on Android, Tesla is also expected to adopt Google's Live Updates.
Tesla's Service Live Activity is a convenient addition for owners, providing real-time updates on mobile service visits. While initially limited to mobile technician visits, the feature's potential expansion suggests Tesla's commitment to enhancing owner experience through technology.
