Tesla Cybertruck purchaser from Nebraska reveals travel to Denver, Colorado for pick-up; subsequently drove newly acquired truck back 500 miles to home location.
In a unique turn of events, Andy Rozmiarek, a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, had to embark on a journey to Denver, Colorado, to take delivery of his highly-anticipated Tesla Cybertruck. This was necessary due to Nebraska's state laws that prohibit direct manufacturer-to-consumer vehicle sales, preventing Tesla from selling vehicles directly to Nebraskan consumers.
The delivery process for Andy's Cybertruck took a total of 12 hours, including travel time. To charge the Cybertruck for the long journey back to Nebraska, it required a full 8 hours. The longest charging stop was 20 minutes, with an additional 8 minutes due to a lunch break.
Andy was impressed with the Cybertruck's performance during the long delivery experience, particularly the enjoyment he found in the vehicle's full self-driving feature. After reaching Lincoln, Andy shared his story and a picture of his new Cybertruck on the "Cybertruck Owners Only" group on Facebook.
Andy's determination to own the Cybertruck did not wane, despite the long journey. He considers the Cybertruck the best road-tripping vehicle in the world after putting significant miles on it on the first day.
Currently, Nebraska’s law effectively blocks Tesla from opening official company-owned stores or showroom locations where customers can directly buy new Tesla vehicles, including the Cybertruck. Residents interested in a Tesla Cybertruck must rely on out-of-state direct purchases or local third-party sellers, such as independent dealerships or private sales, including used Cybertrucks.
Some Cybertruck owners believe it's worth driving long distances to buy the vehicle, as demonstrated by Andy's experience. The Cybertruck is not available to buy worldwide due to regulatory restrictions in some countries. However, for those who can, the allure of the Cybertruck and the freedom it offers seems to be a compelling draw.
Andy found the Cybertruck's self-driving feature enjoyable during his long journey, and he believes the electric-vehicle offers an appealing lifestyle, justifying the distance he traveled to purchase it. Despite the laws in Nebraska that limit Tesla's sales, gadget enthusiasts like Andy are drawn to the Cybertruck's technology, making long-distance trips to own one.
