There's a buzz in the TV market as TCL, the Chinese electronics company, has announced the release of three new RGB Mini-LED TV models for 2026. The trio includes the Q9M, Q10M Ultra, and the highly anticipated X11L series.

The Q9M, the most affordable of the three, boasts a starting price of 7,999 yuan for the 65-inch version. It offers a refresh rate of 288Hz and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The Q10M Ultra, on the other hand, is a more premium offering with a starting price of 19,999 yuan for the 85-inch model, and up to 99,999 yuan for the 115-inch range-topper. Both Q9M and Q10M Ultra models deliver 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, promising industry-leading color accuracy, similar to Samsung's Micro RGB TV.

The X11L series, marketed as 'the king of TVs', uses SQD mini-LED technology. This technology, unique to TCL, uses a single white LED per dimming zone, promising bright, clean, and color-rich visuals. The X11L TV features a Bang & Olufsen-tuned speaker system and TCL's own Linkong System 3.0 OS in China, with Google TV expected in other countries. The super-bright X11L has a starting price of 19,999 yuan, and it is expected to replace the X11K model, which is currently available in some regions but not the UK.

The X11L TV sits between the Q9M and Q10M Ultra in terms of price and size. It promises an impressive 10,000 nits of brightness and has the highest number of dimming zones ever used in a mini-LED TV, ranging from 14,400 to 20,736. The Q10M Ultra TV will be larger and more expensive than the Q9M RGB TV.

Initially, the new TVs will be available only in China, but announcements for the US are expected at CES 2026 in January. It is expected that the X11L model will not be available in the UK either. TCL's RGB TVs, including the Q9M, are being made available for more attainable prices compared to other RGB TVs in the market, sparking excitement among consumers.

With these new releases, TCL is positioning itself as a major player in the mini-LED TV market, challenging OLED TVs for dominance. The Q10M Ultra, in particular, is being hailed as a potential 'OLED killer' due to its premium features and competitive pricing.
