For existing Starlink customers in affected regions, the free service will be automatically credited to their accounts[2][3][4]. No specific action is required from them, as long as their dishes are powered and pointed towards the sky[4].
New customers in wildfire zones can also benefit from this offer. By purchasing a Starlink kit, they can request free service through July 5, 2025, by contacting Starlink support[5].
Individuals whose Starlink equipment was damaged by the fires can contact the company for a free replacement[8]. Moreover, those who had previously cancelled or paused their Starlink service will receive a credit equal to their old plan, allowing them to reactivate their accounts and access the free service[6][7].
The free service does not require any specific data plan or package[5]. Furthermore, there are no data usage limitations for Canadians affected by wildfires, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential online services during this challenging period.
