Spacecoin Makes History With First-Ever Space Blockchain Transaction

Spacecoin, a trailblazing company, has made history by routing the world's first end-to-end blockchain transaction through space. This remarkable feat could pave the way for bypassing internet access, censorship, and capital control restrictions in certain regions. The transaction was a resounding success, marking a pivotal moment in the convergence of blockchain and aerospace technology.

Spacecoin achieved this groundbreaking milestone using its CTC-0 nanosatellite. The signal was transmitted over an astonishing 7,000 kilometers, traveling from Punta Arenas, Chile, to the Azores, Portugal. The transaction was securely validated on the Creditcoin blockchain, demonstrating the cryptographic security of Spacecoin's system beyond Earth's atmosphere.

To build on this success, Spacecoin plans to launch three additional satellites, the CTC-1 cluster, in the fourth quarter of 2025. This will enable inter-satellite handoffs and wider demonstrations, paving the way for a satellite-driven blockchain ecosystem. This constellation is expected to offer scalability and resilience unmatched by terrestrial networks, revolutionizing the way we think about decentralized internet connectivity.

Spacecoin's successful test at TOKEN2049 has proven the potential of its technology. With the support of EnduroSat's modular satellite platforms, Spacecoin has shown that a decentralized satellite-based internet is not only possible but also a viable solution for regions with unreliable internet access or strict capital controls. The company's plans to launch additional satellites in late 2025 will further solidify its position as a pioneer in the convergence of blockchain and aerospace technology.
