Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress optimization plugins (FlyingPress, FlyingCDN)
- Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and test new features
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues
- Optimize code for performance and scalability
- Create and maintain documentation for code and features
- Engage with the WordPress community to gather feedback and improve products
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience as a PHP developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects
- Deep knowledge of web performance optimization techniques specific to WordPress
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Experience with common WordPress plugins and themes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with CDN and DNS technologies is a plus. Additionally, experience with debugging tools and understanding of web hosting environments is beneficial. Nice-to-have skills include Linux command-line and SSH usage, exposure to Jira and agile workflows, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or Docker.
