Skat Revived: Bestjack Entertainment Launches Skat Friends Mobile App in November 2025
Hamburg-based Bestjack Entertainment is set to launch Skat Friends, a new mobile app aiming to revitalise the classic card game Skat. Led by Skat pro and YouTuber Daniel Schäfer, the team seeks to compete with popular free-to-play apps. The app will be available for free download in November 2025 on Google Play and the App Store, with optional in-app purchases.
Skat Friends will introduce players to a virtual Skat club, populated by charming characters such as Skat-Omi Ingrid, represented by Ingrid Lauterbach, and 'Clumsy' Ollie. The app promises daily challenges to keep players engaged and special cards to unlock as rewards.
The development of Skat Friends received financial support from the federal government's games funding, receiving 131,544 €, and Gamecity Hamburg's prototype funding, with a grant of 70,000 €. The team hopes to bring the joy of Skat to a new generation of players while preserving its classic charm.
Skat Friends, developed by Bestjack Entertainment, is poised to launch in November 2025.
