Shotoku Unveils Game-Changing SoftRail Studio Camera Movement at IBC 2024
Shotoku Broadcast Systems is set to revolutionize studio camera movement with its innovative SoftRail technology, launching at IBC 2024. The system combines the best of both worlds: the precision of track-following and the freedom of free-roaming pedestals.
SoftRail, developed by Shotoku, maximizes studio floor space flexibility. Unlike traditional physical floor tracks, it eliminates restrictions and allows paths to take virtually any shape imaginable. These paths are defined in software only, using Shotoku's TR-XT studio control system. Operators can design soft rails to suit any live production, with unlimited paths storable and recallable.
At IBC 2024, Shotoku will showcase SoftRail at Stand 12.F47. Visitors can expect to see SmartPeds switching seamlessly between SoftRail mode and traditional free-roaming mode. Each SmartPed can have separate or shared free paths active, offering unparalleled versatility.
Shotoku's SoftRail technology, launching at IBC 2024, promises to enhance studio production flexibility and efficiency. By merging the advantages of track-following and free-roaming pedestals, it opens up new possibilities for live production.
