Scottish Widows Expands Origo's Unipass Authorization Document Throughout Its Entire Operations
Scottish Widows, a prominent financial services provider, has collaborated with Origo to streamline the Letter of Authority (LoA) process for advisers across its business. This partnership aims to reduce turnaround times and enhance the quality of information, demonstrating a commitment to driving efficiency, transparency, and improved outcomes for advisers and their clients.
Origo's Unipass Letter of Authority (ULoA) is a comprehensive service offering a single method for sending all LoA requests to any UK platform and product provider. The deep integration with Scottish Widows includes several major pension providers and marks a significant advancement for the industry.
The ULoA service by Origo has recently been enhanced, including the addition of a checklist for advisers to upload specific data points they need. This feature aims to ensure advisers obtain all the required information from providers to process requests smoothly.
Advisers can access all of their LoA requests and information via one secure digital portal through ULoA. The new system is free and has whole-of-market provider coverage, making it a one-stop-shop for advisers.
The enhancements made to Origo's ULoA service continue to aim to ensure advisers obtain all the required information from providers to process requests smoothly. This is the first in a series of upcoming investments by Scottish Widows to provide advisers with a frictionless experience beyond their Platform and across their business.
Scottish Widows intends to deliver Origo data services to a high level, aiming to remove friction from data sharing and offer a consistent and industry-leading experience across their business. The next company with which Origo will improve and integrate its data services is not publicly disclosed.
Anthony Rafferty, CEO of Origo, stated that the goal is to transform the LoA experience for advisers and their clients. Scottish Widows is extending Origo's Unipass LoA service to advisers serving clients with their Workplace Pensions, Retirements, Protection, and Longstanding products.
Further integrations of ULoA with other providers are already underway. Scottish Widows aims to improve their LoA servicing, focusing on speeding up responses and enhancing the accuracy of information during the financial planning process. This partnership is set to revolutionise the LoA process, offering a more efficient and streamlined service for advisers and their clients.
