Samsung Unveils an 'Extraordinary' Announcement at its Upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Event on February 9.

Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event is set in stone: The company declared that they will be broadcasting something "jaw-dropping" on Feb. 9, starting at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT on Samsung's website.

Let's dive right in: We're anticipating Samsung to unveil its upcoming Galaxy leading series, the Galaxy S22. As usual, we're likely to see three options to cater to various users, starting with a basic Galaxy S22 and peaking with a performance-focused Ultra model featuring a dockable S Pen, for those who yearn for the Note design. If you're after a high-performing phone without the stylus, there's the Galaxy S22 Plus.

So far, we've caught wind of the Samsung Galaxy S22 potentially coming with a slightly smaller display than its predecessors, boasting a 6.01-inch screen. The Galaxy S22 Plus, on the other hand, is rumored to sport a 6.55-inch display. The Galaxy S22 Ultra would take the lead with the largest display of the three, measuring 6.81 inches, to fully embody that Note replacement feel.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is also expected to have the most substantial battery of the three models, which Samsung hinted at last week. It's speculated that the Ultra will have a 5,000 mAh battery, while the S22 and S22 Plus will boast 3,800 and 4,000 mAh batteries, respectively.

In terms of appearance, expect the rear-facing camera arrangement to look a bit different than Samsung devices from past years. The rear camera assembly might include a 108-MP wide-angle primary camera, a 12-MP ultra-wide lens, a 10-MP telephoto lens with 10x zoom, and a second 10-MP telephoto lens with 3X zoom. The fifth circle on the back of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is likely to be a laser-autofocus sensor.

Regarding the power source, it remains unclear. We've previously assumed that the U.S.-based Galaxy S22 variants would be powered by Qualcomm's fresh new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as is the trend for Android flagships. But Samsung also recently announced its Exynos 2200 chip, the first smartphone processor with AMD graphics (though the company usually reserves the Exynos chips for its overseas devices.)

You won’t have to wait long to discover Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones. Join us on Feb. 9, after which we’ll break down all the new features in Samsung’s flagship lineup for you.

The advancements in technology and the upcoming 'Galaxy S22' series are set to be the talk of the tech world, with Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event promising jaw-dropping announcements. With the new Galaxy S22, Samsung is expected to introduce a slightly smaller display than its predecessors, potentially revolutionizing the use of future smartphones.
