Samsung has brought clarity to the uncertainty surrounding the future of its Galaxy AI features, confirming that these features will remain free beyond 2025 [1][2][3][4].

Initially, Samsung had planned to offer these features free only until the end of 2025. However, recent official statements from the company have clarified that all default Galaxy AI features on phones—such as Audio Eraser, Live Translate, Note Assist, Generative Wallpapers, Writing Assist, and others developed independently by Samsung—will never require payment and will be free forever.

This commitment extends to the Galaxy S25 series and other future Galaxy phones. While some AI capabilities powered by Google's Gemini AI may decide to introduce advanced tiers as paid offerings in the future, these are currently free on Samsung devices with limited-time Pro subscriptions available for new Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Flip 7 owners [2][3].

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will also get access to Google's new Gemini features for foldables at no cost for six months. These exclusive features are not available on all Galaxy devices, but are limited to the Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Watch 8 series.

It's worth noting that Google offers advanced AI features with paywalls, including Gemini AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions. However, Samsung continues not to put paywalls for its popular Galaxy AI features.

There is no information available on whether Samsung plans to introduce paywalls for its Galaxy AI features in the future. For now, users of Samsung Galaxy devices can expect core Samsung Galaxy AI features to remain free, reflecting Samsung’s current commitment as of July 2025 [1][2][3][4].
