In an exciting development for European audiences, ARTE.tv, a renowned public streaming platform, has launched its Romanian version on July 7, 2025. The new service, available at arte.tv/ro, aims to cater to the native language needs of 75% of European citizens.

The Romanian version of ARTE.tv offers a diverse range of content, including documentaries, series, news programs, concerts, and films, all with Romanian subtitles or voice-overs. Current highlights include "Ikea: The Tree Hunter," "Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds" (live performance), "Happiness" (an Iranian series), and "How Volodymyr became Zelensky."

Looking ahead, ARTE.tv plans to release new titles such as "Gucci" and "Lust & Drama" before the end of 2025. By year-end, the platform aims to feature approximately 400 programs in Romanian.

The best part? The service is free and does not require registration. Users can access ARTE.tv's Romanian content across Europe through web browsers, social media platforms, and mobile apps on App Store and Google Play. For added convenience, users can create a free MyARTE account to resume playback across devices and download content for offline viewing.

Weekly news formats focused on Central and Eastern Europe, including topics related to Romania and Moldova, are also included in the Romanian version of ARTE.tv.

In an exclusive interview, ARTE.tv representatives expressed their enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, "We are thrilled to bring our unique content to Romanian audiences. We believe that our diverse offering will resonate with viewers, and we look forward to growing our Romanian audience in the coming months."
