Robot manufacturing company, Kinetic Engineering, commences production of chassis for the DX electric scooter via a new robotic production line.

Kinetic Engineering Limited has made a significant stride in the electric vehicle (EV) industry with the launch of its latest offering, the Kinetic DX e-scooter. The company has inaugurated an advanced auto Robotic Chassis Line at its Ahilya Nagar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra, marking a new era in chassis production.

Enhanced Production Facilities

The production facility for the new DX e-scooter has been upgraded to incorporate modern technology. The metal body panel line now includes hydraulic and mechanical presses, spot welding guns, and pneumatic clamping fixtures. Each part now has an individual gauge, and the supply is kit-based, aligned with sub-assembly requirements. This upgrade aims to optimize inventory management and ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Two Variants and Three Riding Modes

The Kinetic DX e-scooter is available in two variants: DX and DX+. Both variants offer three riding modes: Range, Power, and Turbo, providing riders with the flexibility to choose according to their needs.

Performance and Battery

The Kinetic DX is powered by a 6.4 bhp motor, offering a top speed of 90 kmph. The Kinetic DX+ variant, on the other hand, is equipped with a 2.6 kWh LFP battery, promising a range of 116 km (IDC) on a single charge.

Safety and Braking System

Safety is paramount, and the Kinetic DX is equipped with a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum, assisted by a combi-braking system. This ensures reliable braking performance for a smooth and safe ride.

Competition and Pricing

The Kinetic DX competes with the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Honda Activa e, Vida V2, Bajaj Chetak, and other similar advance auto parts. The base model, Kinetic DX, is priced at ₹ 1.11 Lakhs, while the Kinetic DX+ is available for ₹ 1.16 Lakhs.

Upcoming Competition

In addition to the Kinetic DX, other electric scooters are making their way into the market. The Suzuki Burgman Electric e-scooter is upcoming and is expected to be priced at ₹ 1.20 Lakhs. The TVS Orbiter e-scooter, with a top speed of 68 kmph, is priced at ₹99,900.

Advanced Features

The Kinetic DX uses telescopic forks at the front and adjustable shock absorbers at the rear, providing a comfortable ride. The manufacturing facilities feature a dedicated store for frame child parts with receipt quality systems, ensuring the highest quality standards. The paint shop has been upgraded and introduces body and frame painting, a 7-tank process with CED coating, followed by metallic top coating.

Bookings and Deliveries

Bookings for the Kinetic DX e-scooter commenced on July 28, and deliveries are expected to begin later this month. With its advanced features, competitive pricing, and commitment to quality, the Kinetic DX is poised to make a significant impact in the kinetic energy market.
