Ricoh GR IV Storms Sales Charts, Topping Japanese Retailer Yodobashi

Ricoh's latest compact camera, the GR IV, has taken the market by storm. Launched in September 2025, it has swiftly climbed the sales charts, currently holding the second position and topping the list at Yodobashi, a major Japanese retailer.

The GR IV, an APS-C camera manufactured by Ricoh, has surpassed the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS in sales. Its recent launch and high demand have led to stock shortages. Yodobashi has temporarily suspended orders, while other retailers list it as released in limited quantities or with delayed shipping estimates.

The GR IV is an update to the popular GR III, starting its shipping journey on September 12, 2025. It quickly topped the sales chart, pushing other cameras down the rankings. The Fujifilm X100VI, despite being out of stock online, secured the ninth position. Other cameras following the GR IV and SX740 HS in the rankings include the Sony ZV-1 II, Panasonic Lumix TZ99, and Fujifilm X-Half.

The Ricoh GR IV's success is evident, with limited availability impacting its position in the rankings. As the best-selling camera at Yodobashi for the first half of September 2025, it's clear that consumers are eager to get their hands on this popular compact camera. However, global release date information for the salesforce is currently unavailable.
