Recap for July 19: Yamaha FZS Hybrid review, introduction of the TVS Ntorq 125 Super Squad Edition, and more motorbike updates...

The automotive and motorcycle industries are abuzz with the latest releases, as Yamaha unveils the FZS-Fi Hybrid and TVS Motor Company teases the Super Squad Edition of the NTorq 125. Meanwhile, Porsche has added limited edition Black Edition models to its SUV lineup, the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe.

Yamaha FZS-Fi Hybrid

Yamaha's latest offering, the FZS-Fi Hybrid, is a commuter motorcycle that promises improved fuel efficiency and enhanced performance. In real-world tests, it has delivered around 49 kmpl in city conditions and 51 kmpl on highways, while the official ARAI rating claims up to 60 kmpl fuel efficiency. This impressive figure is thanks to its hybrid tech, including an auto start/stop system.

Performance-wise, the bike remains smooth and reliable up to about 90 kmph, with the engine starting to feel strained beyond triple-digit speeds. It retains the same 5-speed gearbox and offers smooth clutch shifts. There is no significant change in handling or braking dynamics compared to the non-hybrid model, but the hybrid version adds traction control for enhanced safety, particularly in wet conditions.

The main improvements of the 2025 Yamaha FZS Hybrid over its non-hybrid version are better fuel efficiency, performance that remains smooth and natural up to 90 kmph, and additional features such as a hybrid power assist system, traction control, and smart connectivity enhancements.

TVS NTorq 125 Super Squad Edition

The TVS NTorq 125 Super Squad Edition has been on sale for a while, but the latest iteration features a superhero-themed livery, inspired by Marvel characters. This isn't the first time the NTorq 125 has showcased a comic book-inspired design; previous models have also featured such livery.

Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe Black Edition

The Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe Black Edition are the latest additions to the luxury SUV segment in India. These limited edition models boast a blacked-out exterior and interior, setting them apart from their standard counterparts.

The prices of these luxury vehicles are ex-showroom, with the Porsche Cayenne Black Edition priced at ₹1.80 crore, featuring a ₹31 lakh premium over the standard model. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe Black Edition is priced at ₹1.87 crore, with a ₹32 lakh premium.

These new releases offer something for both motorcycle and car enthusiasts, with the Yamaha FZS-Fi Hybrid focusing on fuel efficiency and tech upgrades, and the Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe Black Edition catering to those seeking a luxurious, blacked-out SUV experience.
