Rare Porsche 993 Turbo Cabriolet, One of 14 Ever Made, Heads to Auction
A rare Porsche 993 Turbo Cabriolet, one of only fourteen ever made for the road, is set to go under the hammer at Iconic Auctioneers in Birmingham on November 8, 2025. This unique vehicle, chassis number 338510, is expected to fetch a significant sum.
The open Porsche 993 Turbo, produced in 1995, was a result of a dealer's request. Fritz Haberl ordered at least ten units, leading to the creation of just fourteen examples. One of these, a right-hand drive model in Amaranth Violet with a classic grey leather interior, is now up for sale.
Powered by a 3.6-liter M64/50 engine and a 360 hp turbocharger, each car was crafted in Porsche's special wishes department. This particular vehicle was first offered for sale in 2025, more than two decades after its initial delivery. In 1995, it was priced at 264,000 Marks, a substantial 112,000 DM more than a normal 993 Cabriolet.
The estimated price for this 'unicorn' of Porsche history ranges from 700,000 to 800,000 British pounds, equivalent to approximately €805,000 to €920,000. This rare opportunity to own a piece of Porsche's unique heritage is not to be missed by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
