Quality Assurance Specialist - Senior Level
Kraken, a leading remote crypto company with a global team of over 70 countries and speaking over 50 languages, is seeking a Quality Assurance and Compliance Tester. This role is at the heart of Kraken's Core Compliance Team, which focuses on governance, risk, and oversight.
The Quality Assurance and Compliance Tester's primary responsibility is to conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance testing across various compliance programs such as Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), and Sanctions. The tester supports the development and refinement of QA and compliance testing procedures, including AI workflows, and analyzes quality performance data to identify trends and improve processes.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in QA, Audit, BSA/AML, or Compliance Testing roles, with cryptocurrency or regulatory experience being a plus. Familiarity with QA testing frameworks, risk-based sampling, and audit procedures within compliance environments is essential.
A strong analytical mindset, capable of reviewing structured and unstructured data from varied case and transaction systems, is required. The tester should also possess strong communication skills to prepare reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams. High attention to detail with strong presentation writing and documentation skills is a must.
Role and Responsibilities
The tester's role extends beyond traditional compliance, delivering insights that help anticipate emerging threats and enable sustainable growth. The tester also fosters a culture of compliance and quality assurance across operational workflows and produces polished deliverables for internal and external reporting.
The Core Compliance Team serves as a strategic partner to the business in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk. The team's role involves management of the FIU QA program from start to finish. The team also fosters cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders.
