Qatar Airways Introduces Payment Installment Scheme for Passengers from India

In a move to provide greater convenience and affordability for Indian customers, Qatar Airways has introduced a new EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) payment option for ticket bookings. This initiative allows passengers to split their travel expenses into easy and manageable monthly payments, making booking flights more accessible for a wider audience.

The EMI payment option is available for customers using credit cards issued by major Indian banks, such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and SBI Card. This facility offers Indian travelers the opportunity to manage their travel expenses more efficiently through affordable monthly payments.

Qatar Airways currently operates 102 weekly flights between Doha and 13 destinations in India. The airline's Senior Manager Commercial-ISC, Naveen Chawla, stated that this new EMI option offers passengers tremendous benefits.

Previously, some passengers found it challenging to book flights online due to credit limits or large outstanding balances. However, this new service allows them to pay for their bookings effortlessly using their credit cards. The EMI option requires only a minimum installment fee to complete a purchase.

In addition to the new EMI payment option, Qatar Airways has also introduced other enhancements for its Indian customers. In February 2018, the airline introduced its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 on its Delhi route. Furthermore, in July 2018, Qatar Airways introduced its Qsuite Business Class experience on the Mumbai and Bengaluru routes.

Through this new payment scheme, Qatar Airways passengers with credit cards issued by Indian banks will have greater flexibility when planning their travel itinerary. This initiative is part of Qatar Airways' ongoing efforts to expand payment options and enhance customer convenience for Indian travelers.

  1. The EMI payment option, available for customers using credit cards issued by major Indian banks, also includes Qatar Airways' business transactions, making it easier for Indian travelers to manage their finance through technology-driven, affordable monthly payments.
  2. Qatar Airways' Senior Manager Commercial-ISC, Naveen Chawla, highlighted that the new EMI option not only benefits passengers by offering flexibility in travel planning but also serves as a technology integration within the business of finance, catering to a wider audience by addressing previous booking challenges with credit limits or large outstanding balances.
