BirdDog Technologies Unveils New Products at IBC 2025

BirdDog Technologies, a leading innovator in live video workflows, is set to showcase a range of new products at IBC 2025, the international convention for the broadcast and media industry. The event, taking place at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center from September 12-15, will feature demonstrations of the company's latest offerings, including PTZ cameras, IP connectivity solutions, and production software.

Among the new products from BirdDog Technologies is the MAKI Live professional stream camera. This new addition to their camera lineup is designed for remote operation in applications like sports and weather. The MAKI Live camera is expected to contribute significantly to BirdDog Technologies' product lineup at IBC 2025.

In addition to the MAKI Live camera, BirdDog Technologies will also unveil the MAKI Studio production solution. This innovative software solution is designed to streamline video production workflows, making them more efficient and accessible. The MAKI Studio production solution is anticipated to be a key component of BirdDog Technologies' efforts to fill various market niches.

BirdDog Technologies' new product releases and upcoming introductions at IBC 2025 focus on PTZ cameras, IP connectivity, switching solutions, and related workflow software and cloud computing products. The company will present products across several categories such as Cameras and Lenses, PTZ controller Keyboard, Cloud computing solutions, SAAS, workflow software, systems integration, and encoding and streaming media devices.

One of the new PTZ cameras to be showcased is the BirdDog XL, which boasts a 4/3-inch digital image sensor. This camera is expected to bring a "cinema" look to the broadcast environment. BirdDog is known for innovations in broadcast robotic cameras, and the XL is likely to showcase enhanced IP and control capabilities.

BirdDog Connect, a connectivity solution from BirdDog Technologies, will also be on display. This solution allows access and control of BirdDog cameras via a secure IP transport protocol. With BirdDog Connect, various video production functions, such as monitoring, switching, graphics, and audio mixing, can be geographically separated as long as they have an internet connection.

During IBC 2025, BirdDog Technologies will discuss product introductions and future plans with TV Tech Contributing Editor Phil Kurz. For detailed, product-specific specs or new switching solutions directly from BirdDog Technologies, official BirdDog press releases or their IBC booth presentations (Booth SL2628) would provide the most authoritative updates.

According to Dan Miall, CEO of BirdDog Technologies, the company has been working to fill various market niches. They aim to build workflows around their cameras and make controlling them as easy as possible. The MAKI Live professional stream camera and MAKI Studio production solution are likely to be key components of this strategy.

Other companies at IBC 2025 showcase specific new PTZ cameras with AI tracking and IP zoom features, while MultiDyne focuses on modular fiber optic transport platforms supporting 12G-SDI and 10GbE IP connectivity. However, BirdDog Technologies' unique approach to IP connectivity and production workflows sets them apart in the market.

Visitors to IBC 2025 are encouraged to stop by BirdDog Technologies' booth (SL2628) to see these new products in action and learn more about their innovative solutions for live video workflows.
