Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the launch of LX Studio, a US-based subsidiary dedicated to accelerating legal innovation. The new venture aims to integrate technology-driven solutions within legal practice, particularly in areas like technology transactions, cloud, AI, and SaaS contracts.
In a statement, Jeff Cody, the Managing Partner of LX Studio, emphasized that the goal of the subsidiary is to provide clients with more than just legal advice, but also problem-solving capabilities. Gina Shishima, the Chief Strategy and Operations Partner, further explained that LX Studio allows for capitalizing on the company's tremendous resources and innovative focus.
LX Studio will develop products and services for use by Norton Rose Fulbright's lawyers and clients, including legal operations solutions for corporate legal departments. Christy Bentz, the Chief Client Value & Innovation Officer, expressed a desire to meet clients where they are and collaborate more intentionally on service solutions.
The business model of LX Studio includes extending Norton Rose Fulbright's existing platform. It will collaborate with legal technology companies, alternative legal services providers, and may partner with or invest in novel technologies. LX Studio will be part of Norton Rose Fulbright's global innovation and service delivery program, NRF Transform.
LX Studio will be home to Norton Rose Fulbright's existing technology product, the award-winning privacy compliance tool suite NT Analyzer. Christy Bentz highlighted that LX Studio provides a platform for building, co-developing, and partnering with clients on personalized service solutions. She further suggested that LX Studio further positions Norton Rose Fulbright to evolve with the changing expectations of legal service delivery.
