Orion Expands Conductive Additive Production in Texas
Orion is expanding its conductive additive production with a new facility in La Porte, Texas. The plant will manufacture PRINTEX kappa 100, a high-purity, high-conductivity additive that enhances battery performance and longevity.
PRINTEX kappa 100 offers versatility, serving as a conductive additive in both anode and cathode. This simplifies customers' supply chains and optimises dispersions, strengthening cell manufacturing margins and competitiveness. Orion's technical marketing manager for battery components, though unnamed, can assist manufacturers in leveraging this advantage.
The new facility, set to commence production in the second quarter of 2026, will boost Orion's conductive additive capacity when combined with its existing plant in Berre l'Étang, France. This increased capacity will support the growing demand for high-performance batteries in various industries.
