Online Multiplayer Mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Specifically Fox Hunt, Stoke My Anticipation
Get ready, Metal Gear Solid fans! Fox Hunt, a brand-spankin' new online multiplayer mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is about to shake things up with its unique blend of stealth, survival, and... hide-and-seek? You heard that right, buddy!
Konami dropped the bomb during their Konami Press Start livestream, and boy, did it leave us frothing at the mouth! Director Yu Sahara revealed that this "completely original online battle mode" would play nothing like the 2008's Metal Gear Online. Although Fox Hunt takes place in the same world as the main game, the gameplay is as different as night and day, Sahara emphasized.
"When we say Metal Gear multiplayer, many fans will probably think of Metal Gear Online, but Fox Hunt will be its own new type of mode," Sahara said. "The landscape of multiplayer games has changed a lot since MGO."
The creators have taken camouflage and the age-old game of hide-and-seek to the next level in this third-person perspective adventure. Fox Hunt promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind gaming experience, eschewing simple shootouts for a more strategic relative-wackiness. They challenge themselves to provide something completely unique that transcends traditional multiplayer expectations.
Sahara also confirmed that more information on Fox Hunt will be unveiled soon, leaving us all on the edge of our seats.
