New Financial Management System (P&L) Implemented in New Building Projects Construction
In a significant step towards environmental sustainability and customer convenience, Kaufland, one of Germany's leading retail companies, is implementing a new generation of deposit machines across five additional locations. These machines, provided by TOMRA Systems GmbH, are known as the Crystal version of the Tomra R2.
The new deposit machines, now operational in Dortmund, Ludwigsburg, Worms, Ahrensfelde, and soon in Leipzig by mid-May, offer a faster, more convenient, and attractive deposit return process. According to Florian Hermanski, responsible for deposit return systems at Kaufland Germany, these machines are ideal for customers with larger quantities of empties.
The Tomra R2 machines feature a multi-feed system that allows customers to throw in all their empties at once, instead of inserting them individually. This process is up to five times faster than with conventional machines, providing a noticeable relief for customers and serving as a real customer magnet for the trade, as TOMRA Systems GmbH notes.
The machines also come with an intuitive, illuminated touchscreen to guide customers through the process. Once the empties are sorted automatically, a deposit receipt is issued. The deposit machine at the five new locations will also accept glass bottles, making it a comprehensive solution for Germany, according to TOMRA Systems GmbH.
The new implementation of the Tomra R2 is being hailed as another example of innovation and sustainability by TOMRA Systems GmbH. Thomas Løstegaard, Managing Director of TOMRA Systems GmbH, comments on Kaufland's commitment to modern, customer-friendly deposit returns.
Kaufland's move towards modern deposit machines is not a new development. The company is already one of the leading companies nationwide in the use of such machines. The deposit machine tested in Steinheim, Baden-Württemberg last spring will remain there permanently.
