New Arrival in Canada: Polestar 4, Luxury Electronic Vehicle Offered from $64,900

The Polestar 4, an all-electric performance SUV coupe, has made its debut in Canada, blending strong electric performance, advanced technology, and well-crafted interiors to offer a sporty yet practical EV experience.

This sleek electric vehicle features a bold design, with a high-definition roof-mounted camera replacing the traditional rear window. Sustainability is a core focus for the Polestar brand, with 85% of the vehicle being recyclable, and several components being reusable or remanufacturable.

The Polestar 4 comes in two main variants: a rear-wheel-drive Long range Single motor and an all-wheel-drive Long range Dual motor. The Single motor version delivers 272 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated range of up to 482 km on a full charge. On the other hand, the Dual motor variant generates 544 hp and 506 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds - making it the quickest in Polestar’s lineup.

Key specifications and features include a sizable 94 kWh battery pack, with the Single motor model offering an estimated range of about 300 miles, while the Dual motor version delivers around 272 miles. The battery supports fast charging at up to 200 kW, allowing a 10–80% recharge in roughly 30 minutes at a rapid charger.

The Polestar 4 combines sporty dynamics with composure, confident braking, and precise steering. The Dual-motor version offers optionally available adaptive dampers for enhanced suspension performance.

The cabin seats five with a quality feel. Upholstery options include knit fabric as standard, with synthetic or Nappa leather available. Rear seats can be power-reclining with the Plus Pack. The interior is noted for its high-quality craftsmanship and good driving position, though the back seat’s center position is somewhat narrow for three people.

Standard equipment includes a large 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Google, with features such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and an 8-speaker audio system. A 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard. The system is feature-rich but can feel overwhelming for some users.

The Polestar 4 is fitted with advanced safety technology including front and rear autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control (with stop-and-go and lane-change assist in the Pilot pack), speed sign recognition, surround-view cameras, and multiple airbags (seven in total). Additional safety features include tyre pressure monitoring, safe exit alert, and driver attention monitoring.

For enhanced luxury and tech features, customers can add the Plus Pack, which includes a graphical head-up display, three-zone climate control, electronically reclining rear seats, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, and MicroTech bio-based upholstery. The Performance Pack, available only on the Dual-motor models, adds 22-inch forged wheels, Brembo brakes, summer performance tires, and distinctive Swedish gold accents.

Pricing starts around $78,500 excluding on-road costs, with various trims and option packages available. Production for North America will begin this summer in Busan, South Korea, and the first deliveries in Canada are expected this fall. The Polestar 4 is priced between C$64,900 and C$82,500 (plus a $2,700 destination fee).

In summary, the 2026 Polestar 4 offers a compelling blend of electric performance, advanced technology, well-crafted interiors, and comprehensive safety systems, making it an attractive option for those seeking a sporty yet practical EV experience.

The Polestar 4's sophisticated design includes a roof-mounted camera, indicative of a lifestyle that embraces technology and sustainability in gadgets and cars, like electric vehicles. The sizable 94 kWh battery pack supports fast charging, and a destination fee of $2,700 applies to the purchase price in Canada. The interior upholstery options cater to various preferences, ranging from knit fabric to synthetic or Nappa leather.
