Mystery Drones Swarm Gifhorn District at High Speed
Residents in the Gifhorn district were left bewildered by a mysterious drone sighting on Thursday evening around 9 PM. A witness reported seeing multiple drones flying in formation over the municipality of Meine. The purpose and origin of the drones remain unknown.
The drones were spotted moving at high speeds, up to 100 kilometers per hour, and flying at an altitude of about 100 meters. Their exact number and route are still unclear. The Federal Police (Bundespolizei) is currently investigating the sighting. This is not the first time drones have been seen in the area; three were reported in Gifhorn on the same day, according to the 'Bild' newspaper. The Bundespolizei, which is responsible for the extensive modernization and expansion of the helicopter squadron in Gifhorn, is coordinating the response to the latest sighting.
The drone sighting in Gifhorn has sparked curiosity and concern among locals. Authorities are working to gather more information about the drones' origin, purpose, and number. As the investigation continues, residents are advised to stay vigilant and report any further sightings.
