Mozambique Launches $200M Tender for Telecommunications Quality Assessment System
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MTL) has launched a tender for the supply and maintenance of a quality assessment system for telecommunications services. This move aligns with Mozambique's Digital Acceleration of Mozambique Project (PADIM), aiming to boost digital adoption and infrastructure.
The tender, valued at US$200 million, will be conducted under the Regulation on Acquisitions for Borrowers of Investment Project Financing Operations and Mozambique's national regulations on public works and service procurement. Interested companies can obtain tender documents from the MTL's Project Implementation Unit.
Bidders must submit proposals by 10:30 a.m. on June 10, 2025, with proposals remaining valid for 90 days. Additionally, they must provide a Provisional Guarantee of MZN 415,800.00, valid for 120 days.
The awarded company for a similar contract under PADIM in June 2025 has not been publicly disclosed.
The MTL's tender seeks to enhance telecommunications services through a robust quality assessment system. This initiative is a key step in Mozambique's digital transformation journey, supported by the World Bank under the PADIM project.
