Ministry of Finance Hit by Russian APT Group in Serious Cyber Breach
The Ministry of Finance has confirmed a serious cyber security incident, suspected to be the work of an advanced persistent threat (APT) organization. The attack, believed to be carried out by the Russian APT group COLDRIVER, was discovered as early as December 8. The ministry collaborated with the FBI and the US intelligence community in response.

It follows a similar incident in November, where Chinese hackers accessed the personal information of hundreds of Americans, predominantly Washington D.C. community, including high-ranking political figures.
