Militant Music Discourse: Aerbreak Unveils Latest Album Release
In the vibrant world of underground music, one label is making waves with its unique blend of old-school influences and modern energy. Militant Music, a grassroots label that has been curating releases and organising events in the jungle and hardcore scene for over three years, is the brainchild of head honcho Krash Dubz.
Established in 2021, Militant Music was born from Krash Dubz's desire to explore the fusion of hip-hop, jungle, and drum & bass in rave music. Since its inception, the label has been a driving force in the wider scene, with many crediting its contributions for the current state of the jungle and hardcore world.
One of the most anticipated releases from Militant Music is the album 'Not Your Average Station' by rising producer Aerbreak, who is also one of Militant's main resident DJs. This 12-track album, set to be played out in raves up-and-down the country throughout 2025, is a video game-like adventure, a futuristic, yet compelling piece of artistry that holds no boundaries within the high-tempo world of hardcore and jungle.
Aerbreak's album features a fusion of influences from late 80s acid house to early-to-mid 90s breakbeat hardcore. One standout track is 'Gravity Trap', a collaboration with Tom Oakley. The album also includes euphoric and hard-hitting tracks such as 'System Overload' and 'Not Your Average Station'.
Krash Dubz has also revealed plans for a funky breakbeat project with Greedy G and Aerbreak, as well as an EP with Seretonin. He expressed a desire for more collaborations with brands to grow the community and play more festivals.
Militant Music has not only been releasing music from up-and-coming artists such as Glinks, Seretonin, Worsley, and Greedy G, but also providing some of London's most authentic raving experiences. The label's back catalog includes progressive EP and single releases within jungle and drum & bass.
A notable event for the label was the sell-out Halloween show in collaboration with Jungyals and Gays at Venue MOT. Krash Dubz also mentioned the event 'Off Grid presents: Momentum' as a highlight for the events brand, which took place in Kaunas, Lithuania in 2023.
The name Militant Music is a nod to Krash Dubz's dad's Armenian heritage and embodies the idea of being hard-hitting while carrying the feeling and personality throughout the raves they put on. With plans for more collaborations and releases, the future of Militant Music and its roster of talented artists looks bright.
