Marine Solutions Company Signs Contract for Taipower's Project Phase II on Our Website

Heads up, folks! 🚨 South Korea's LS Marine Solution is expanding its horizons with a juicy $15.8 million contract 💰

This deal is all about laying some badass submarine cables for the Taipower's bold Offshore Wind Project Phase II, also known as TPC Changhua Phase II, in Taiwan. 🇹🇼

LS Marine Solution is hyped about this, as it's their first win in overseas power grid projects 🌐 and the debut of a Korean submarine cable contractor going global. 🌏

"With our home-grown tech and Korea's original submarine cable construction experience, we're making a splash in the overseas power grid scene," said Byung-ok Kim, CEO of LS Marine Solution. 🦈

Now, who made this deal happen? It was none other than Foxwell Energy, an affiliate of Shinfox, winning the tender from Taipower to develop a 300 MW wind farm 🍃

Just a heads-up: this farm was one of the lucky eleven hand-picked by the Taiwanese government back in April 2018. 🎟️

The location for this baby is around 14.7 kilometers west of Lukang in Changhua County. 🗺️

Once completed, this wind farm will be a powerhouse, generating an impressive 1 GWh of electricity per year ⚡️ and enough renewable energy to power almost 270,000 households! 🏠

Bonus Info:

  • Project Value: That's around EUR 13.8 million, if you were wondering. 💸
  • Role of Taipower: This state-owned power company is the main player driving Taiwan's wind power developments. 👩‍💼
  • Turbine Details: The wind farm will feature Vestas V174-9.5 MW turbines, the big kahunas of the renewable energy field. 🐋
