Lufthansa Boosts Sustainable Travel: More Miles for CO2 Offsetting
The Lufthansa Group is stepping up its commitment to sustainability, offering customers more ways to offset their CO2 emissions and earn extra miles and points. Through partnerships with organisations like myclimate and ClimatePartner, the group supports high-quality climate protection projects worldwide. This initiative encourages more sustainable travel choices while rewarding frequent flyers.
Lufthansa's Miles & More programme now awards miles and points for CO2-offsetting packages. Customers can earn up to 80 percent more Points and Qualifying Points, and up to 20 percent more HON Circle Points by opting for these packages. Additionally, booking the Green Fares tariff and CO2-offsetting packages grants extra miles and Points.
To make it convenient, CO2-offsetting packages can be booked directly during flight booking, before departure, or even after the flight through various channels. The Lufthansa Group aims to make sustainable travel choices more attractive and accessible to its customers.
The Lufthansa Group, a global pioneer in sustainable aviation, is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. With the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), which has a CO2 footprint at least 80 percent lower than conventional kerosene, and the expansion of CO2-offsetting options, the group is leading the way towards more sustainable flying. Miles & More members can now benefit from additional miles and Points for all newly booked CO2-offsetting packages, earning up to 6 miles per 1 euro spent.
