Michael Littger, a renowned figure in the field of cybersecurity and digital resilience, has been appointed as the Strategic Director at the Cyberintelligence Institute (CII) in Frankfurt am Main. This appointment, effective immediately, is expected to strengthen the institute's position in the field.
Littger brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as CEO of Germany's 'secure in the net' initiative for a decade. During his tenure, he oversaw diverse projects such as the digital driving license and nationwide cybersecurity hotlines, under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
Before his appointment at 'secure in the net', Littger held roles as a digital advisor at the Federation of German Industries and a lawyer at Mayer Brown. His professional background also includes experience from various companies, associations, and non-profits.
In his new role at the CII, Littger will direct the growth of the institute internationally as well as in Germany, focusing on digital resilience and cybersecurity. He will also maintain his advisory role at CERT@VDE, which is linked to CII activities.
