LEGO Application Developed by Synergiz: Product Enhancement Initiative
French Company Synergiz Embraces Mixed Reality for Interactive Solutions
Synergiz, a leading player in mixed reality, offers businesses the opportunity to enhance their product presentations through immersive technology. Marie-Pierre Verrier, a faculty member at the Arts et Métiers de Laval Institute, presented a project in collaboration with PTC, focusing on the iconic LEGO brand.
Mixed reality, a fusion of real and virtual worlds, provides users with interactive opportunities, enabling people in various fields to consult and interact with information in innovative ways. Synergiz, as a Microsoft Gold Mixed Reality Partner and in partnership with PTC and Trimble, is at the forefront of this transformative technology.
The company's collaboration with PTC allows clients to upgrade their products and enrich their objects with cross-platform applications. To showcase these capabilities, Synergiz unveiled a LEGO demonstrator, a project supervised by Eva Meurice, a master's student at the Arts et Métiers Institute in Laval.
The LEGO demonstrator addresses the challenge faced by many companies in showcasing their products in real-time, immersing users in unique, experiential surroundings. By leveraging HoloLens technology and PTC Vuforia Engine, Synergiz offers a seamless blend of virtual and real environments.
Rather than pursuing a random object for demonstration, the LEGO project exemplifies Synergiz's partnership with PTC, showcasing its capabilities convincingly to potential collaborators. The 20-centimeter LEGO figurine serves as a universally recognizable demonstrator, highlighting Synergiz's story and offering LEGO enthusiasts a novel way to appreciate the product.
The technology behind the demonstrator is rooted in the object detection capabilities of the PTC Vuforia Engine, which facilitates the placement of 3D content onto a common customer's flagship product. This versatility can be applied to a range of products, from industrial equipment to consumer goods and artistic works.
The LEGO application was developed on Unity with MRTK (Multi-platform Development Kit), Vuforia, and URP (Universal Render Pipeline), as a proof of concept. The application is adaptable to various platforms, including HoloLens, smartphones, and tablets. The ultimate goal is to enable real-time collaboration, allowing multiple users to experience the technology simultaneously.
Artificial Intelligence, a crucial component of Synergiz's technological arsenal, assists in the object detection capabilities of the PTC Vuforia Engine, ensuring precise placement of 3D content. Synergiz's partnership with PTC not only enriches their mixed reality solutions but also opens doors for AI integration in various fields, revolutionizing how information is consulted and interacted with.
