Latest Report from Mullen News: Volt Mobility, Bollinger B4, and TEC Equipment in Focus
In the ever-evolving world of electric vehicles (EVs), three American companies - Mullen Automotive, Volt Mobility, and Bollinger Motors - are making significant strides in their respective domains. However, as of the latest August 2025 data, no collaborations or production initiatives involving these companies specifically in the Middle East have been publicly reported.
Mullen Automotive, based in the United States, is focusing on battery production and government fleet sales through its subsidiary Bollinger Motors, primarily targeting U.S. markets. Bollinger Motors, on the other hand, is restructuring its manufacturing in the U.S., shifting production from Michigan to its plant in Tunica, Mississippi, and forming partnerships primarily with U.S. entities. Volt Mobility, established in 2020, has established itself as one of the largest and most influential commercial EV leasing companies in its region, boasting a vehicle portfolio of 17 models, focusing on light, medium, and heavy-duty electric vehicles.
The UAE, a key player in the Middle East, has identified e-mobility as a priority policy area and aims to generate 100% power from clean energy sources by 2050. Despite this, there's no evidence of active EV production or partnerships involving the three companies mentioned above in the region.
Meanwhile, Bollinger Motors has made significant advancements in recent months. The company has announced the production of the Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab, received the Certificate of Conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency, and secured several vehicle sales to various companies. The Bollinger B4, an all-new Class 4 commercial truck, is set to begin production on Sept. 16, 2024, with deliveries beginning in October. The vehicles will be assembled at Mullen's Tunica, Mississippi-based Commercial Vehicle Facility.
In a strategic move, Bollinger Motors has partnered with Roush Industries for the production of the Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab. The company has also named TEC Equipment, Inc. as an official dealer, expanding its commercial sales and service network westward. TEC Equipment, a family-owned, full-service truck and trailer dealership founded in 1976, has more than 30 locations across eight states, including participating TEC Equipment locations such as San Diego, Fontana, Oakland (California), Portland (Oregon), Seattle (Washington), and Phoenix (Arizona). The Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab will be available through these TEC Equipment locations.
Interestingly, Volt Mobility intends to lease these vehicles to its corporate customers based in the Middle East and Gulf States, but there's no indication of any direct partnership or production in the region with Mullen Automotive or Bollinger Motors.
As the EV landscape continues to evolve, it will be fascinating to see how these companies' paths intersect in the future. For now, their individual advancements and strategic partnerships are shaping the EV industry, one milestone at a time.
