Kuwait's Amateur Radio Society Welcomes Japanese Ambassador, Strengthening Kuwait-Japan Ties

The Kuwait Amateur Radio Society (KARS) recently hosted a significant visit from Japan's Ambassador, His Excellency Mukai Kenichiro. The event marked a milestone in strengthening Kuwait-Japan relations and celebrated KARS' proud history and mission.

KARS, established in 1979, has long been dedicated to fostering communication and understanding between peoples through amateur radio. The society expressed pride in the patronage of its Honorary President, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad, and appreciated the efforts of its founding members, though the specific individuals were not mentioned.

The visit of Ambassador Mukai was commemorated with the activation of a special call sign, 9K9JAPAN, symbolizing the strong ties between Kuwait and Japan. Chairman Ahmed Al-Houli warmly welcomed the ambassador and his delegation, joined by representatives from relevant ministries and authorities. Al-Houli praised Japan's role in supporting and advancing amateur radio, highlighting its vital contribution to building communication bridges between peoples.

During the visit, KARS Vice Chairman Ahmed Al-Turki presented an overview of the society's history, reaffirming KARS' commitment to promoting amateur radio and inspiring younger generations. Japan's significant contributions to the development of amateur radio were recognized and appreciated.
