John Deere Tech Thefts Hit Hesse Farms, Police Seek Witnesses
A series of thefts targeting John Deere technology has hit farms in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district of Hesse over the weekend. The police are now appealing for witnesses to help catch the culprits.
The thieves struck between Saturday, September 27th, and Sunday, September 28th, making off with valuable equipment including cordless screwdrivers, a chainsaw, a vacuum cleaner, and control elements worth around 3,000 euros each from John Deere tractors. Farms in Waldeck, Netze, and Sachsenhausen were among those affected.
The perpetrators are described as tall and slim men. In one incident, they were caught on camera. A farmer in Netze, whose shed was under video surveillance, has provided a description of the thieves to the police. The specific cities in Hesse where the thefts occurred are not yet known, but local news sources and police reports may provide more details.
The police are urging anyone with information to come forward. They can be contacted at the Bad Wildungen police station. The stolen control elements are high-value items, making these thefts a significant concern for local farmers and law enforcement.
