Jennifer Rumsey Elected New Chair of Cummins' Board
Jennifer Rumsey has been elected as the new Chair of Cummins' Board of Directors, effective August 1, 2023. She succeeds Tom Linebarger, who is retiring from both his roles as Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board, effective July 31, 2023. Rumsey currently serves as Cummins' President and CEO, a position she has held since August 2022.
Rumsey's promotion comes after a successful first year as CEO, during which she advanced Cummins' decarbonization strategy and delivered record revenues. She has held various pivotal roles within Cummins over her more than two decades with the company, including Chief Technical Officer, President of the Components business, and Chief Operating Officer. The combined roles of Chair and CEO will allow Rumsey to continue leading Cummins into the future, leveraging her technical expertise and deep understanding of the company's business.
Linebarger, who served as Cummins' Chairman and CEO from 2012 to 2022, oversaw significant growth and strategic changes during his tenure.
