Jaguar Land Rover Expands Bespoke Paint Facilities in £65M Investment
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced a £65 million investment to expand its bespoke paint facilities in Castle Bromwich, UK, and Nitra, Slovakia. The move supports the company's sustainability goals and caters to the growing demand for personalized luxury vehicles.
The investment aims to more than double the capacity of JLR's SV Bespoke Paint service. The improvements at the Castle Bromwich and Nitra plants include enhanced automation technologies, advanced robotics, and upgraded digital manufacturing systems. This will increase production efficiency, quality control, and flexibility in vehicle assembly.
Customers can now look forward to a broader range of exclusive paint finishes. These include custom matches to private jets, yachts, or unique design inspirations. The expansion aligns with a broader luxury market shift toward exclusivity and personalization, as JLR responds to surging demand for its bespoke paint services, which has led to increased wait times.
The Castle Bromwich facility will receive new energy-efficient paint booths and advanced robotic paint technology, providing greater flexibility and faster turnaround times. Meanwhile, the Nitra facility will introduce an electric universal paint line and create 120 new jobs.
With a £41 million investment in Castle Bromwich and £24 million in Nitra, JLR is committed to enhancing its bespoke paint services. This expansion supports the company's sustainability goals, including achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2039, while also catering to the growing demand for personalized luxury vehicles.
