iPad Users Now Have a Standalone WhatsApp App

Berlin - The wait for a dedicated WhatsApp app for the iPad is over. As of now, users can download the app directly from the App Store.

Previously, iPad users had to depend on the web version of the messenger, with the added inconvenience of requiring their phone to be continuously connected. This new app eliminates that hassle, offering all the familiar features. Synchronization of chats is still maintained across devices and the smartphone.

The iPad version also introduces new control elements. It supports the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, and the larger screen enhances the user experience. Even with the multitasking feature activated, WhatsApp can be used unhindered, allowing simultaneous use of other apps.

While WhatsApp is already available as a standalone app for smartphones and Mac, an iPad-specific version of Instagram is yet to be released. Though rumors persist of Meta, Instagram's parent company, developing an iPad-optimized version, no official announcement has been made yet.
