In a significant move for Apple users, the latest iOS 26 Beta 6 has introduced a major upgrade to the popular Reflection ringtone. Originally introduced with the iPhone X in 2017, Reflection has been a staple ringtone for many Apple enthusiasts.

Now, iOS 26 Beta 6 expands the traditional Reflection ringtone into six stylistic variants, each offering a unique twist on the classic melody. The seven new tones are named Default, Buoyant, Dreamer, Pond, Pop, Reflected, and Surge.

The original Default ringtone remains unchanged from iOS 18, preserving the tune users recognize. The others, however, are alternate remixes or variations that reinterpret Reflection’s theme with different tones, rhythms, or instrumental tweaks. For example, "Dreamer" was notably described as more dynamic and engaging, emulating a DJ scratching a record and prompting excitement for the Fall launch of iOS 26.

These new versions provide a wider choice while maintaining the familiar base tune, expanding the ringtone palette without departing completely from Reflection’s signature sound. The set gives more stylistic choices but all are rooted in the original motif.

Moreover, iOS 26 Beta 6 is experiencing continued refinements and bug fixes throughout the OS. Notably, new Liquid Glass effects have been added for the Lock Screen and toggles throughout the UX. Liquid Glass in iOS 26 Beta 6 has undergone tweaks to achieve a better balance between readability and translucency.

In addition to these updates, the latest beta also significantly improves the speed of app launches and transitions to and from the homescreen compared to previous betas and past versions of iOS.

As for the iPhone 17 Air, if it exists, it could have the same level of power as the 17 Pro, but with a potential limitation. However, no specific details about this potential catch were provided in the article.

Apple is nearing the final stages of iOS 26 development, and it is shaping up to be one of the company's biggest software releases ever. With its new ringtone variations, improved performance, and refined visual effects, iOS 26 Beta 6 is a promising step towards the final product.
